Hello, welcome to my website!
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Krea University in Sri City, India, where I also serve as the Discipline Coordinator managing departmental operations. I am an applied Development Economist interested in issues at the intersection of gender, social norms, and public policy.
I hold a PhD in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, where I was a research scholar at the Tata Cornell Institute. My doctoral and current research examines the effects of male outmigration on women and children left-behind in rural India.
In parallel, I am also working on deepening my engagement with public policy frameworks through a Post-Graduate Programme at the Takshashila Institution.
Before my doctoral studies, I was a Research Associate at the Behavioral Development Lab (J-PAL South Asia & IFMR) in India.
